桥头村在福建省漳州市龙文区朝阳街道西部，靠近漳州机场，北与芗城区浦南镇接壤。全村辖3个自然村，其中有楼内、宗坑。[1][2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，桥头村始建于明万历辛卯年（1591年）。村中的楼内自然村相传为明代南京礼部尚书林士章所建城堡的所在。[1]

民国以来，桥头一带为区、乡的驻地。1958年起称桥头大队，隶属龙海县步文公社；1984年以后归步文乡，1992年变为步文镇；1997年龙文区成立后，属朝阳镇管辖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

桥头古城墙属龙文区文物保护单位。据博雅地名网引光绪三年《漳州府志》，明万历九年（1581年）林士章辞官后在长桥兴建土城，原设四个城门，后人称此地为长桥城或“釜山城”。[3][4]

城墙上古榕树的根系扎进墙体，成为“根墙”，是龙文区旅游名胜之一。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以农业为生，主要种植水稻、甘蔗、龙眼和荔枝；桥头是名优荔枝村，种有妃子笑等品种。[1]

1987年后，村里改造低洼地修建鱼塘，形成近300亩鱼塘。[1]
