翁建社区在福建省漳州市龙文区朝阳街道，位于省道官九线旁，西邻后店社区。社区由原翁建村于2018年12月撤村设立，此前的翁建村自1997年起属朝阳镇。[1][2]

翁建原为林、赵、黄、陈、王等多姓聚居之地，后来王氏人丁兴旺，至今已传二十余代。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，翁建村系宋代开基，原是多姓聚居的村落，由于历史与社会变迁，王氏成为人丁最盛的一支。[1]

1956年，翁建一带建立高级合作社。1958年并入人民公社，1959年改属步文公社，此后长期作为一个行政村存在，直至2018年改设社区。[1]

人物[edit]

王天柱为王氏第七代，乾隆辛未（1751年）中武科进士，其后任广西乐平协守备，此据族谱所载。王天柱的第十一代孙曾任台中市议员。[1]

文化遗产[edit]

王氏家庙由族人为显扬门楣而建，堂号「崇本堂」，据族谱所载。[1]

经济[edit]

翁建地势平坦、水源丰富，以种养业为主导产业，其中生姜种植是该地的一大特色；社区曾是漳州市主要的生猪和蔬菜生产基地之一。[1]
