朝阳街道位于福建省漳州市龙文区北部，北面临九龙江北溪，东接景山街道，西与芗城区浦南镇相邻。[1][2]

街道的农业以花卉绿化苗木、蔬菜和肉鸽养殖为特色，各村分别有所侧重。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1997年龙文区设立后，今朝阳街道的范围归朝阳镇管辖。[3][4] 2018年，福建省人民政府批复撤销朝阳镇、设立朝阳街道，龙文区随即实施撤镇设街。[3] 博雅地名网则记为2018年12月7日撤镇改街，2019年11月19日正式挂牌。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道北部临九龙江北溪，石井村位于北溪南岸；桥头村一带属丘陵地势，西侧靠近漳州机场。[1][4]

经济[edit]

街道以“一村一品”的思路组织农业：恒坑村和桥头村以花卉绿化苗木为主，书厅村、流岗村和石井村以蔬菜种植为主，石井村和登科村一带则以肉鸽养殖为主。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

境内的虎林山遗址位于樟山村，属青铜时代遗存，2013年1月28日经福建省人民政府公布，列入第八批省级文物保护单位。[5]

桥头古城墙属龙文区文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2011年4月，环境保护部授予“2011年度国家级生态乡镇”称号。[2]

2021年2月，朝阳街道入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[2]

著名人物[edit]

陈淳，字安卿，号北溪先生，南宋理学家，朱熹的弟子。博雅地名网载其生于宋绍兴二十九年（1159年），出生地为龙溪县游仙乡龙州里，即今朝阳街道石井村蓬洲一带。[1]
