此地原为蔡坂生产大队驻地，故称蔡坂；1984年大队改为村时，沿用了「蔡坂」之名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]
据百度百科，云洞岩风景区位于蔡坂社区，景区为国家4A级旅游景区，也是省级风景名胜区。[2]
蔡烈墓在云洞岩南麓，墓前十余米处有鹤丘亭，亭中立有林达撰文的鹤丘铭碑。[3]
