村名与村南的一座庵堂有关：宋代已有沿留的古村落，村南有仙都庵，村因此得名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期村子属龙溪县廿一都。[2]
经济[edit]
2020年1月，村子被认定为「漳州市2019年度市级“一村一品”示范村」（蔬菜）。2025年11月，又被确定为「福建省2025年度省级“一村一品”专业村」（茄果类蔬菜）。[2]
文化[edit]
2024年1月，村庄被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
