天宝社区位于天宝镇中心区。社区与镇同名，名称的来历见下文。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

传说宋大中祥符年间（1008至1016年），当地渔民邱鄯在九龙江中拾得一颗宝珠，将它献给郡守王冕，再转呈朝廷，朝廷便赐名天宝。明嘉靖年间的《漳州府志》有这一记载。[1]

这里原属龙溪县。解放前为天宝乡驻地，解放后办天宝农业高级社；1961年设天宝大队，1984年起为天宝村委会。2020年12月18日，村委会改为天宝社区居民委员会。[1]

2021年2月，社区入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
