后林村是浦南镇下辖的行政村，位于芗城区最北端，邻接华安县，省道漳华路穿村而过，九龙江沿村边流过。村辖寨仔、后林、大路美、新社4个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村委会驻地在后林自然村。该自然村原名杏林，因位于虎头山后且林木茂盛，改称后林，村名随之而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地为龙溪县廿三、四都的一部分，民国时归金杏保。解放后并入第八区后林乡，1958年划入星火公社。[1]

1961年，后林划入漳州市浦林公社并设大队；1981年改属浦南镇；1984年改设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
