溪园村是浦南镇“过溪片”的行政村，位于九龙江北溪东岸，东往长泰县城方向，西傍九龙江北溪。村辖溪园、窝边、东山3个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传唐代陈元光部将、其女婿林氏曾来溪边开垦田园，村名由此而来。[1]
经济[edit]
村子依洲傍水，出产荔枝、龙眼，并大面积种植蘑菇、木耳。村中自1972年开始种植蘑菇，逐渐成为周边村庄所称的食用菌专业村。[1]
2004年，在区农办、区科协、区供销社、镇农村经济服务中心和驻村干部的指导下，村内种植大户组建了芗城林发食用菌专业合作社。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
溪园可上溯至清代的龙溪县廿三、四都松州堡。民国时归浦南区溪渡保管辖，解放后归第八区溪园乡。1958年改属星火公社，1960年并入农场。[1]
1961年，村子划入漳州市浦南公社并设大队；1984年改为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
