园坑村是浦南镇下辖的行政村，位于漳州市北郊，东靠鳌浦村，南近谢坑村。村辖园坑、柑仔园、船民队3个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村名原为“环溪社”，因地势如坑，后改称园坑。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
园坑在明清时为龙溪县廿三、四都陈宏堡的一部分，民国期间归浦南区园坑保。解放后并入第八区鳌浦乡，1958年改属星火公社。[1]
1961年，村子划入漳州市浦南公社，设园坑大队；1984年由大队改为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱卫办当年11月将园坑村列入「2021年福建省卫生村」。同年12月，村被授予「2021年度福建省森林村庄」称号。2023年2月，园坑村列入「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
