北星社区是福建省漳州市芗城区石亭街道下辖的社区，位于街道南部，原为北星村。村名取北斗星之意。[1][2]

原北星村总面积1.2平方千米，总人口1658人，510户，为黄氏一姓单一居住，村民以务工和第三产业为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原与邻村同属一个自然村，同为一个高级农业社。1961年设立公社时，该处分为两个农业大队，为怀念同村同姓同族，取字异义同的“北星”为大队名。1981年起划归石亭公社，1984年改称北星村委会；2020年6月3日起为北星社区居民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。村曾被评为区文明村和区先进基层党组织。[1]
