鳌门社区是福建省漳州市芗城区石亭街道下辖的社区，原为鳌门村。[1][2]

地名相传源于明代一位村民中举做官，他所戴的官帽上有鳌头的标志，村因此被称为鳌头门，后简称鳌门。解放后一度以闽南话同音的“吴”字代替，称吴门，后恢复为鳌门。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧属龙溪县，解放前归石亭区，解放后归五区并设鳌门乡。1957年改隶浯沧乡；1958年并入星火公社的鳌门耕作区，1959年改归天宝公社，那里随即建起鳌门大队。1960年划入龙海县，次年才回归漳州市，隶属石亭公社。1984年，它成为石亭乡鳌门村委会；自2020年6月3日起，改为鳌门社区居民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
