后园社区是福建省漳州市芗城区石亭街道下辖的社区，位于街道北部，原为后园村。解放前此地称凤园，解放后为便于群众书写，把“凤”字改作“后”，称后园。[1][2]
原后园村总人口820人，219户，全村为杨姓一族。村民以农业为主要收入。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地旧属龙溪县。解放前隶属石亭区鳌门乡，解放后划为第八区，之后并入五区的鳌门乡。1958年起，此地并入星火公社的鳌门耕作区，那里设有后园中队。1961年，该地改归漳州市石亭公社，建起后园大队。1984年，石亭公社更名为石亭乡，大队改称村委会；2020年6月3日起改组为后园社区居民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予该社区「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。村还曾被评为芗城区文明村，以及十住计生合格村（居）。[1]
