前山社区隶属福建省漳州市芗城区芝山街道，西邻九龙江。社区名沿用开基祖先祖籍地的村名，村委会驻于此自然村。1979年改属芝山乡，1984年改为村委会，2020年6月3日，此地改设为前山社区居民委员会。2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名沿用开基祖先祖籍地的村社之名，村民委员会驻地在该自然村，村改居后仍用此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据载先祖在此开基，至今已有六百余年。此地原属龙溪县，1961年5月另设前山大队；1979年改由芝山乡管辖；1984年，大队改设村委会。2020年6月3日，此地改设为前山社区居民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，前山社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中保存有前山胡氏大宗祖祠一座。[1]
