和平里社区位于芗城区通北街道辖区。社区名取自所在的和平里小区，小区名由开发商定下，寄望邻里之间和睦相处；居委会因设在该小区而以此命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区是在改革开放后漳州市区扩展时兴建的居民住宅区，2002年由原和平里居委会整合组建。[1]

2021年2月，社区入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
