社区以「岱山」为名，前身为岱山村民委员会，该委员会的驻地介于顶岱山与下岱山两处之间。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属古塘乡。解放后划入城郊人民公社，1986年城郊人民公社撤销，改设芝山乡，岱山村民委员会也于当年设立。1999年区划调整后，此地改由南坑街道管辖。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区获「2023年福建省卫生社区」称号。[1]
