地名由来[edit]

社区位于新华西路北侧，以所在道路命名，便于居民辨认。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2002年4月，新华社区居委会由东铺头一带的居委会与新华西居委会整合而成。另据2021年2月9日的决定，东铺头街道的南台、加禾、新华三个社区改属西桥街道。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区于2024年1月获评「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
