历史沿革[edit]
社区所在的街道位于中山桥头，当地人俗称中山桥为旧桥，社区因此得名。社区的前身是南山街居委会，该居委会因辖区过大、人口增加，被拆分为三个居委会。2002年社区大整合时，西桥街道原有15个居委会合并为8个社区，旧桥社区是重新整合后的社区之一。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
中山桥及桥亭建于1925年，2013年被列为「第八批省级文物保护单位」。[2]
荣誉[edit]
社区于2024年1月获评「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
