西桥社区隶属福建省漳州市芗城区西桥街道，属主城区。社区名称取自街道的专名“西桥”；社区内有双门顶明代石坊，漳州林氏宗祠也在这里。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

“西桥”一名见于明清漳州府志和龙溪县志：龙溪古城西护城沟上有座西清桥，水从西闸流出，人们简称其为西桥，以此作为地片名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地1959年归于华南街；分街之后曾称民主街；1964年又定名西桥街。居委会的名称借用了西桥街道办事处的专称。2002年居委会大整合时，西桥社区居委会得以成立。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区于2024年1月获评「2023年福建省卫生社区」。2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

双门顶明代石坊位于修文西路与延安南路交叉口附近的香港街上，是漳州现存石坊中较具代表性的一座。[1]

漳州林氏宗祠又称比干庙，位于振成巷37号。国务院于2006年5月25日将其公布为「第六批全国重点文物保护单位」。[2]
