西桥街道是福建省漳州市芗城区下辖的街道，办事处驻博爱西道42号，位于芗城中心城区南部，南面临九龙江西溪。街道的主要管辖范围是漳州古城，辖区内有双门顶明代石坊、漳州林氏宗祠等古迹。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代的漳州府志和龙溪县志都提到，龙溪古城西护城沟上有一座西清桥，水从西闸流出，人们简称其为“西桥”，后来这一地片名被用作街名。嘉靖甲午年间（嘉靖十三年，即1534年）的《龙溪县志》已载有西桥街名。[1][2]

西桥街道办事处设立于1955年2月15日，此前这一带是龙溪县城关镇的一部分，属城关一区。1960年曾改为人民公社，1963年复为街道办事处；1968年10月另设革命委员会，1980年7月才恢复原名。1985年漳州市改为区建制后，西桥街道成为芗城区人民政府的派出机构。[2][3]

2002年社区大整合时，原西桥街道的15个居委会合并为8个社区。2020年6月，南星村改为南星社区居民委员会。2021年2月9日，东铺头街道的南台、加禾、新华3个社区划归西桥街道。[4][5][6]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于芗城中心城区南部，东邻新桥街道，南至九龙江西溪，西面和北面与东铺头街道相接。[2][3]

辖区面积的说法不一：博雅地名网概况页作1.68平方公里，其页首作约3平方公里，百度百科作3平方千米，三者均未注明年份。[2][3][1]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科载2021年2月的常住人口为2.9万人，以此为准。[1]

博雅地名网另有三组数字，且都未注年份：页首写约1.82万人；概况页一处写常住约3.5万人，另一处写户籍为2.43万人。这里以有年份的数字为准。[3][2]

芗城区民政局2023年12月发布的行政区划统计表列西桥街道辖12个社区，其中南山、大桥、南星三个社区由高新区代管。[7]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网称街道的主要管辖范围即漳州古城。古城老城区面积约0.86平方千米，现存各级文物保护单位15处，城内有漳州文庙，并有「锦歌」「漳州木版年画」等国家级非遗项目。[8][2]

西桥社区内的双门顶明代石坊位于修文西路与延安南路交叉口附近的香港街上，是漳州现存石坊中较具代表性的一座。[9]

漳州林氏宗祠又称比干庙，位于振成巷37号，属西桥社区。国务院于2006年5月25日将其公布为「第六批全国重点文物保护单位」。[10]
