东铺头街道是福建省漳州市芗城区下辖的街道，位于区境南部，是芗城区人民政府的所在地。[1][2]

北面是通北街道，东面连着巷口街道，南面与西桥街道相接，西面挨着芝山街道。面积据区划地名网与百度百科为2.83平方千米，博雅地名网则记为2.32平方千米。[1][2][4]

地名由来[edit]

地名历史悠久，指旧府署以东的一条街道，那里商业繁华，店铺林立，故名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十四年（1935年）此地属龙溪县第一区。[1] 1955年2月，设立东铺头办事处，当时是漳州市政府派驻的机构。[5]

1960年5月起称东铺头街道人民公社，1963年复称办事处，1968年一度设革命委员会，1980年7月恢复办事处。1985年漳州市改设芗城区后，它成为区人民政府的派出机构。[5]

1998年7月，街道将5个居委会划给通北街道，1个居委会划给南坑街道，同时接收了芝山镇的瑞京村。[2]

2021年2月，漳州市政府批复同意，东铺头街道的南台、加禾、新华3个社区划归西桥街道，街道办事处驻地不变。[6]

人口[edit]

2000年第五次全国人口普查时，街道常住人口为43885人；2010年第六次全国人口普查时增至62065人。[2]

机构与教育[edit]

芗城区人民政府设在街道辖区内。辖区里有闽南师范大学，闽师大附中（漳州二中）和漳州市实验小学也设在此地，另有漳州市医院等医疗机构。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

芝山红楼即中国工农红军东路军领导机关旧址，又名「毛主席率领红军攻克漳州纪念馆」，原是寻源中学的校舍。1932年4月20日红军攻克漳州，毛泽东在此住了20多天。[7][8]

1957年辟为「闽南革命纪念馆」，1971年改为现名。1992年建造「中国工农红军东路军攻克漳州纪念碑」，碑名由聂荣臻题写。[7][8]

红楼1985年被列为福建省文物保护单位，2006年列为第六批全国重点文物保护单位。[7][8]

博雅地名网另载，街道内还有唐代咸通经幢、明代嘉济庙碑和仰文楼，以及安徽、湖南、广东、惠安、莆仙、兴隆、福州（三山）、浙江等会馆的遗址。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2023年，福建省军区授予街道「基层人民武装部建设四星单位」称号。[4]
