杏田村位于向阳乡西部，离乡政府驻地约5.5公里，地处观日台东面山脚的丘陵谷地。[1]村子旧称杏厝保，1958年并为大队时，两地各取一字，定名杏田。[1]

1984年改设杏田村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村里有中站、下站、洋田崙、狮坯四个自然村，村民小组10个。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地570亩、山地4905亩，作物以水稻、甘薯为主。林果则有松木、柑桔、茶叶与杨梅，茶叶也是土特产。村内有石材厂1家。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

五台山碑位于本村，年代为元、清，属市级文物保护单位。[1][2]

凤聚塔列于本村，建于清代，同为市级文物保护单位。据百度百科，它在村南约100米处。[1][2][3]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，杏田村经福建省农业农村厅认定，成为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，杏田村上榜「2023年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
