郭田村在向阳乡北部，乡政府驻地以北约3.1公里，寨仔山东北面的丘陵山谷间。[1]村名相传来自宋代的一户郭姓人家，他在此地开垦良田并定居下来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期归郭田保管辖，1949年解放后改属帽山乡。1970年独立设为郭田大队，1984年更名为郭田村委会。[1]

解放前，有革命工作者在此开展地下工作，郭田村因此是革命老区基点村。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村内设上科、下科两个自然村，村民小组共9个。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地543亩，山地3196亩；种植以水稻和甘薯为主。林果有杉木、杨梅、茶叶，土特产是茶叶。村中有小学1所，合作卫生所1所，水电站1座。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，「2023年福建省卫生村」称号落在郭田村身上。2024年10月，郭田村列为泉州市2023年度市级「一村一品」专业村，主导产业是甘薯。[1]
