向阳乡位于福建省泉州市南安市东北部，东北面与仙游县和洛江区相接，西北面与永春县相邻。[1][2]全乡面积，南安市人民政府网站载为56.81平方千米，百度百科与博雅地名网则作68.45平方千米。[1][2][3]境内海拔800米以上的山峰有17座，并有水电、矿业和中草药等资源。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

乡名取自境内的五台山。此山中峰俗称观日台，登临可以望见日出，故以“向阳”命名。[3]

宋代此地划归德教乡下的当庭里；元朝至清朝，它成为第八都。民国时期归乐峰乡管辖。[3]

新中国成立后，乡政府在乐山、帽山、平湖、飞云四个乡的基础上设立。1959年，本地与梅山、罗东、九都等地合为梅山火箭公社。1965年改归九都公社，1970年自九都公社析出，另设向阳公社。1984年9月改为向阳乡；2001年，林坑村划归九都管辖。[2][3]

乡境多山，海拔800米以上的山峰有17座，山间溪涧有8条，总长六十余千米。[1]乡政府驻地的海拔为680米。[4]

矿产有辉绿岩和伊利石。[4]

文化[edit]

环境保护部在2011年4月公布，向阳乡获「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。向阳乡于2020年12月经福建省爱卫办认定，列为「福建省卫生乡镇」。2023年12月，乡里被评为「2023年度福建省森林乡镇」。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

乐山南永古道的起建时间可上溯到五代，北宋景祐年间重新扩建，路线顺着五台乐山的山势起伏。它在洛阳桥建成之前，是闽南通往京城的重要通道之一。宋元时期，乐山茶叶、永春铁器和德化陶瓷经此路转运至石井津、水头港与泉州港，再远销海外。这条古道在2025年12月31日被公布为第十一批福建省级文物保护单位。[5][6]

五台乐山昭惠史迹群在向阳乡境内，以海上丝绸之路航海保护神通远王的信仰为核心。祖庙的现有建筑多是2008年重建的，其创建可追溯到唐开元年间。[5]

五台山碑刻在五台山一带，属元、清两代遗存，列入南安市第四批公布的市级文物。五台山碑位于杏田村，年代为元、清，属市级文物。凤聚塔位于杏田村，建于清代，同为市级文物；据百度百科，它在杏田村南约100米处。[5][7]
