山后村是南安市眉山乡的一个行政村，位于乡驻地东南约2公里，距南安市区约30公里。明代村民由安溪迁来，定居于大幕山后，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此前属泉州府南安县的二十四、五都，地名作“顶山后”；民国时的山南保也包括此地，解放后改称山后村。1958年设山后大队，1984年改为村委会。[2]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月命名山后村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄聚落在大幕寨东麓的山谷间，呈半月形分布，辖下厝、摈抛垄、碣下三个自然村，全村面积约3.5平方千米。[1][3]

村中大幕寨山脉海拔八百多米，峰顶有一片平地，早期建有房屋九十九间，四周筑有防护围墙，今存遗迹。[2]

经济[edit]

主要种植水稻、甘薯，山地种有马尾松、速生林和茶叶。[2]
