南湖村是南安市眉山乡的一个行政村，位于南安市西北隅，位于乡政府驻地东南约7公里，村委会在南湖，村落依傍石鼓山西北麓的山谷盆地。村名因村南有一湖而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明朝正统年间，始祖广辉公分居此处，繁衍至今已有五百多年。[2]

民国时属山南保，新中国成立后改为南湖村，公社化后设南湖大队，1984年为南湖村委会。[1]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月命名南湖村为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2024年10月，被确定为「泉州市2023年度市级‘一村一品’专业村」（主导产业：茶叶）；2024年11月，被认定为「2024年度福建省‘一村一品’专业村」（茶叶）；2025年1月，上榜「2024年度南安市‘和谐村（社区）’」名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村土地面积2.6平方千米，设8个村民小组，有祖厝、新村两个自然村落。[2][3]

村民均为陈姓。族人有迁往浙江温州的，也有侨居海外的华侨华人及港澳同胞。[2]

经济[edit]

村民种植水稻、甘薯，山地有杉木、柑桔、龙眼和茶叶；近年发展无公害绿色食品，种植铁观音茶叶，并养殖母猪。[2]
