岑兜村位于石井镇境内，村名与村后的山和村前的海有关。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

始祖建村之时，有山家风水先生指点，村名宜以「今」字为根基。村后一座山小而高，取「岑」字；村前濒海，水土易流失，于是又取「兜」字，表示牢固。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初属胜利乡，村名为岑兜村；1958年组成岑兜大队，1984年改设岑兜村民委员会。[3]

高甲戏[edit]

据博雅地名网，石井是高甲戏的发源地，岑兜村的洪埔师及村民创造了这一剧种，洪埔师因此被后人尊为「戏祖公」。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，岑兜村上榜「2023年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
