营前村位于石井镇驻地南侧，东临石井湾，村委会设在营前，辖营前一个自然村。[2]村民历来以养蚵、讨小杂海与航海为生。[2]

名称由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，民族英雄郑成功曾在此操练水师，并在村后安营扎寨，村名由此而来。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，营前与石井村同属延平乡。1949年解放后两村分开，营前自立为营前村；1958年公社化时组成营前大队，1984年改设营前村民委员会。[4][2]

海产与航运[edit]

海蚵（牡蛎）是村里的传统养殖产品。吊蚵与紫菜养殖并行，产品运销省内各地。[2]

村中有多家航运公司，货轮往返于沿海各地，并在全国沿海港口设有代理人员。[2]

姓氏与宗族[edit]

营前是多姓聚居的村庄。据传说，周氏于元代定居营前；洪、伍两姓在明初由晋江英林与安海迁入；李氏则在晚清迁入。[2]

民俗[edit]

村民信奉佛教，村中有尊王公宫、烟楼公宫与妈祖庙。每年农历二月十五为尊王公诞辰，届时演戏、请客。[2]
