后店村位于石井镇西北部，东邻石井江，与晋江市隔水相望，村委会设在后店，辖后店一个自然村。[2]村中有碧云岩、妙寿宫与吴氏宗祠等古迹，并有厚德学园。[2]

名称由来[edit]

村落早先是集贸市场，开设有店铺，因此得名后店。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年解放初这里属和平乡；1958年以后组成后店大队，1984年改设后店村民委员会。[4]

自然环境与产业[edit]

村中以甘薯、花生、大豆等作物为主，山林中有松木、相思树等，属亚热带季风气候。[2]

村两委推动工业强村，后店石材工业区建成后，多家石材厂陆续投产；村中还发展了石油储运、服装纺织、铁件铸造等行业。[2]

省道201线贯穿村境，村里修建了环村水泥道路，主要干道及大部分民居周边巷道已经硬化。[2]

教育[edit]

村里1932年就开办了厚德小学，后于1995年改为厚德中心小学。2002年，学校被授予「福建省示范小学」。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

碧云岩位于村西南的碧云山中，为清代寺庙，供奉南海观音，寺内现存玉兰花与桂林果各一株。[2]

妙寿宫供奉保生大帝吴真人，博雅地名网载有其行医与飞升的传说。[2]

吴氏宗祠为后店吴氏的祠堂，始祖一支系南安县二都黄龙清江公派下。1661年（顺治十八年）清廷实行禁海迁界，族人多流散外地；此后部分村民返回故里，重建家园。宗祠于2001年重建。[2]
