地名由来[edit]
驻地山后有一片竹林，村名竹口由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
元、明、清时属三十三都，民国时称竹口保。1956年并入下洋乡；1961年设竹口大队；1965年更名竹青大队；1979年自席里大队中另立竹口村，1984年改为竹口村民委员会，隶属官桥镇。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
五塔岩石塔位于龙水山上、五塔岩寺前，是宋代建造的五座石塔，一字排开，彼此相隔约两米。2013年3月5日，国务院公布其为第七批全国重点文物保护单位。[2]
荣誉与产业[edit]
2022年10月，竹口村经省农业农村厅认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。村中林果有荔枝、龙眼、杨梅、橄榄、桃李等。[1]
