村前旧时有一片梧桐林，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属南安三十六都，民国时称田铺保。新中国成立初期并入内厝乡，1958年归内厝大队；1961年从内厝大队分出，另立前梧大队，1984年起称前梧村民委员会。[1]

2022年10月，前梧村入选2022年淘宝村名单。[1]
