地名由来[edit]

旧时此地为周氏先民开发定居之处，因而得名周厝。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属南安三十五、三十六都，民国时分为周厝保与毫光保。新中国成立初期并为周厝乡；1958年设周厝、下寮两大队，1965年又合为周厝大队，1984年改为周厝村民委员会。[1][2]

2000年5月，村中的下寮、林兜、后曾3个自然村被划出，组成霞光居民委员会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]
