霞美镇是福建省泉州市南安市下辖的镇，位于泉州市区与南安市区之间的交界处，省道308线穿镇而过。[1][3]镇域面积57.04平方千米，2010年常住人口71200人。[1][6]镇名原作“下尾”。[6]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，这片土地约在三四千年前的新石器时代已有人开垦。两宋时，今镇域内各村原属南安县唐安乡修文等三里的一部分，另有唐兴乡兴集里的一小块地方。[2]

1984年起，各行政村陆续成为丰州镇的村委会。1999年7月，丰州镇分拆为丰州、霞美两镇，霞美镇由此设立。[5][3]

2011年4月，霞美镇获评「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」，授予机关是环境保护部。[4]

地理环境[edit]

霞美镇东侧距泉州市区约12公里，西侧离南安市区约10公里。[3]镇域属亚热带季风气候。[3]

经济[edit]

镇内的丰霞现代农业示范园区即花卉基地，花卉产业发展较快。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

傅应嘉墓在金山村，是明代古墓葬，列入泉州市文物保护单位名录的南安部分。[8][2]

霞美村的霞美陈氏民居建于民国时期，2009年11月16日被列入福建省级文物保护单位。[9]

著名人物[edit]

明代抗倭将领傅应嘉生于南安，1524年出生，葬于金山村。[7]
