丰州社区是丰州镇的镇中心区社区，居委会位于晋江中下游北岸。[1]社区东面与泉州市丰泽区北峰街道相接，西面与九日山相邻，南面隔江与霞美镇相望，北面与莲花峰所在的桃源相连。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

丰富大队中的一部分居民，在1958年划归灯塔公社，另组成丰州城镇居民工作委员会，这便是今日居委会的源头。[1]“文化大革命”期间，该委员会并回丰富大队；社区居委会的前身于1978年3月恢复设置，2003年又改称丰州社区居委会。[1][2]

丰州一带在三国吴永安三年（260年）设东安县，此后长期为郡、县治所。[3]

地理环境[edit]

社区地势平坦，省道307线穿过社区，漳泉铁路、福厦高速铁路和环城公路也经过这里。[1]
