在康美镇区西北方约五公里处，有梅魁村，它倚着杨梅山的西侧，四面环山。[1]村域面积约2.3平方千米，村委会设在香埔头，村中耕地约2500亩，设13个村民小组。[1]村名原为苏坑，1985年为纪念苏姓先祖改称梅魁。[1][3]改革开放后，石材加工成为村里的主要产业，墓碑石销往欧洲、美国、日本和加拿大。[2]2022年11月，梅魁村获评2022年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

梅魁村原以村委会驻地苏坑为名，1984年时隶属康美乡，仍称苏坑村委会。[1]1985年，此地是苏姓聚居之处，为纪念苏姓先祖改名梅魁；同年康美乡改设为康美镇。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

东侧是杨梅山，西侧为笔架山和军山，南侧有大旗尾，北侧有小杨梅与香炉寨。[1]博雅地名网列出村中的十五个自然村，百度百科作十二个，两说并记。[1][3]

改革开放后，村里依托大埔山的黑石矿发展石材业，墓碑石加工企业有三十多家，产品出口欧洲、美国、日本和加拿大。[2]

村内有梅魁小学、合作医疗所和碾米厂，乡村公路连接泉永德公路。[2]村中还有龙亭宫、仙脚迹等古迹。[2]
