康美镇位于南安市中部，北面连着梅山镇，东面是洪濑镇，西面与省新镇接壤，东南为丰州镇，西南为美林街道。[1][3]镇域面积，南安市人民政府2025年发布的乡镇概况作66.70平方千米；博雅地名网和百度百科作64.95平方千米，此处取政府所载数字。[1][2][3]镇名源自旧地名「坑尾桥」，后经谐音改写为「康美」，寓意康安富美；镇的俗名为霞苏，据博雅地名网，苏姓占总人口的75%。[4]2019年末的户籍人口数为60411人。[2]镇政府驻康美村，杨梅山上建有雪峰寺。[2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

公元886年，苏大郎随王潮从河南固始入闽定居，此后苏姓在此繁衍，至今已传四十代。[4]北宋时此地称怀德乡，元、明、清三代属二十都。[4]民国三十三年（1944年）改称玲苏乡。1949年8月解放后，同年十月改设为康美乡。[4]1958年组建人民公社，取名康美。1984年撤社建乡，1988年撤乡设镇。[4]

地理环境[edit]

镇境东南部多丘陵，西部则多山。杨梅山、笔架山与铁尖寨三座山的海拔分别为547米、428米和221米。[4]晋江东溪穿过境内，沿溪一带的村子，有青山、团结、梅元、福铁等。[4]境内位于山美水库灌区的下游，出产一种底色深黑、缀有银色斑点的辉绿岩，俗称「康美黑」。[4]

人口民族[edit]

2019年末的户籍人口数为60411人。[2]博雅地名网另记全镇总人口为5.5万人，海外侨亲2.1万人，侨亲多在菲律宾、香港、澳门、台湾等地。[4]这两项数字都没有注明年份，只作参考。

2020年、2021年和2022年，康美镇先后列入淘宝镇名单。[3]2021年2月，康美镇入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

杨梅山上的雪峰寺，又称南安雪峰寺、小雪峰，传为纪念唐代义存禅师所建。[5]百度百科定其创建于1120年，属南宋初年；博雅地名网则说它始建于唐代，两说并记。[3][5]寺中保存着南宋朱熹题写的楹联刻石，寺周还有历代高僧的舍利塔。[5]泉州市的文物名录把雪峰寺列在康美镇梅元村，见梅元村。[6]

镇内的文物还有福铁村的福铁都督墓和傅翰奇墓，见福铁村。[6][7]
