洪西社区位于洪濑镇区西部，临东溪而建，江滨西路批发市场和洪濑综合市场都设在辖区内。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

洪濑古镇原称伴那街，后改称洪濑街，镇街以中街和十字街为界分为东、西、南、北。本社区位于镇区西面，因此得名。[1]

洪西的居民委员会设于1984年12月，到2003年11月才改称洪西社区居民委员会。[1]
