洪南社区位于洪濑镇区之南，在镇政府驻地东南0.3公里、东溪北岸。[1] 社区名称按旧时镇街的划分而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

洪濑古镇原称伴那街，后改称洪濑街。镇街以中街和十字街为界，分为东、西、南、北四个社区，本社区位于镇区之南，因此得名。[1]

2003年改为洪南社区居民委员会。[1]
