明新村是南安市梅山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府驻地北约2.2千米处，村名取自境内的明心寺。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原以境内明心寺为名，因「心」与「新」谐音，后改称明新。[1][2]

宋末元初此地在怀德乡丰年里，属南安十八都；民国时归芦塘乡九甲保。1950年划入洪濑区的明新乡，1956年农业合作化时改属蕉塘乡，1958年设明新大队，1984年改设村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄位于牛姑山东南的丘陵地带，省道215线穿村而过。[3]

经济[edit]

耕地作物以水稻、小麦、甘薯为主，村内有茶林果场与几家石化、五金企业。[2]

村内有明新水库。[2][3]

明新村于2021年10月和2022年10月两次入选「淘宝村」名单。[1]

2025年1月，明新村上榜「2024年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
