埔仔村在南安市梅山镇东侧，距镇政府驻地约3.6千米。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄原名「埔紫」：村址是平坦的埔地，水田里多生紫萍，因而得名；后因方言谐音，简化为「埔仔」。[1]

据百度百科，村中开基祖为琉塘戴氏九世祖戴乔岳，明嘉靖年间（1557—1560年）在此建成祖宇大厝，村庄由此立基。[3]

民国时期此地归芦山乡的埔仔保。解放后划入谯塘乡，公社化的1958年并入谯塘大队；1978年分为三队，另立埔仔大队；1984年村委会改称埔仔村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积约6平方千米，泉永公路经过村中，交通方便。[2][3]

2025年3月，埔仔村被命名为「第七届全国文明村镇」。[1]
