梅山镇是福建省泉州市南安市下辖的镇，在市域东北部，距南安市区30千米，距泉州市区40千米。[1] 全镇面积59平方千米，下设18个村民委员会与4个居民委员会。[1] 镇人民政府的信息公开工作由党政综合办公室负责。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

梅山一带开发于晋代，唐代渐趋兴盛。[3] 宋代属怀德乡民寿里，元、明、清时归为十六都，民国年间设梅山乡。[3] 维基百科称，梅山镇的前身是南安十六都芙蓉乡。[6]

1949年8月中旬解放，梅山先后划归第七区与第十九区。[3] 1958年组建梅山火箭人民公社，管辖罗东、九都、向阳三地；1965年单独设立梅山镇人民公社，1984年改称梅山镇。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇名据一说来自与康美镇交界的杨梅山。[3] 杨梅山位于梅山、康美、洪濑三镇交界处，海拔547米。[7]

晋江东溪由西向东贯穿全镇，西北境边有山美水库。[4] 沈海高速复线、省道215线（原省道307线）也穿越镇域。[1]

经济[edit]

镇域以水稻为主要作物，还产花生、甘薯等，山地林业用地较多。[4]

文化[edit]

镇内有光前学村与蓝园学村两个较为完整的教育体系，其中国光中学为全国示范性高中，国专中心小学为省示范小学。[4]

镇里建有李成智公众图书馆，另有南安市美术馆、画院和光前医院。[4]

2011年4月，环境保护部授予梅山镇「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。2021年1月，梅山镇被认定为「第三批福建省侨乡文化名镇名村」，同年2月列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2024年1月，梅山镇被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[3]

2020年、2021年和2022年，梅山镇先后三次入选「淘宝镇」名单。[3]

著名人物[edit]

李光前原名李玉昆，1893年10月18日生于南安县芙蓉乡，即今梅山镇竞丰村，是新加坡的实业家、教育家和慈善家，1967年6月2日去世。[8]
