荆坑村是罗东镇下辖的行政村，位于罗东镇政府驻地以北2.1公里处，聚落散布在大帽山东麓的丘陵地上，呈条形[2]。村名来自境内的一条山坑，故称荆坑[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期这里隶属亭顶保和荆坑保；1949年后属高山乡，公社化时期属梅山火箭公社的一个大队[2]。

1962年拆小公社时自成一队，改属罗溪公社；1965年改属罗东公社；1984年改为罗东乡荆坑村，1988年改称罗东镇荆坑村[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

荆坑瓷窑址位于本村，为宋代古遗址，列入泉州市的文物保护单位名录[3]。
