厚阳村位于乐峰镇东南部，距镇政府驻地约3.5公里，梅仙公路穿境而过。[1]

名称来历[edit]

厚阳村旧称后洋、炉内潘、外潘。相传清康熙年间的进士潘晋晟认为旧名不够雅致，遂改称厚阳。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，村地归乐峰乡管辖，为厚阳保。新中国成立后，这里先设厚阳乡，再于1958年改隶梅山的火箭公社，成为厚阳大队。1984年起先后挂在罗东乡与罗东镇名下。1999年7月14日，厚阳村改由乐峰镇领属。[2]

全村1683户，5700人（村民），分为13个村民小组。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

耕地1124亩，山地5194亩，主要种植水稻、小麦和甘薯，林果有龙眼、余甘。村里有针织厂与石材厂若干家。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内保留有孔泉书院旧址，建于明代嘉靖时期。[3]

文化[edit]

村内有小学。福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予本村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
