林坑村位于五台山（乐山）山麓、山美水库畔，东面与南安市向阳乡马迹村接壤，西面与和安村相邻，距镇政府所在地约16千米。全村面积10.2平方千米，辖五个自然村[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自村中树木茂密、坑水流芳之意[1]。民国时村地属九都镇蓬州保，解放后归大力乡，1956年设南星农业社，合作化之后成为林坑大队[2]。

此前村地归九都公社，1972年水库建成后划归向阳公社，1984年改称村民委员会；2001年，林坑由市政府划归九都镇[2]。

姓氏宗族[edit]

村民由李、陈两宗组成。林坑李氏先祖于明代由安溪湖头迁入定居；陈氏先祖于清康熙年间由晋江磁灶迁来[2]。

文化[edit]

村中的综治中心在2024年获南安市评为五星级村级综治中心[3]。
