九都镇位于福建省泉州市南安市东北部，北面与永春县相接，离南安市区约38千米，是南安市下辖的一个镇。全镇面积102平方千米，水域约占23平方千米，森林覆盖率为74.3%，是国家级生态乡镇[1]。镇域多山，山美水库的核心库区位于境内[4]。

历史沿革[edit]

地名出自元代的编户制度。南安原以八乡三十二里为编制，元朝改作四十六都，此地被置为第九都，此后便以都序称呼，沿用至今[2]。宋代这一带的九、十都隶属崇和里，归德教乡统辖；明洪武年间九、十都合并为一个九都[2]。

1949年9月南安解放后，这里归第七区管辖。1959年这里组建人民公社，1984年改为乡建制，1992年2月撤乡建镇[2]。

1958年山美水库开工，几经停建后于1972年10月投入运行，主坝为粘土心墙土石混合坝，坝高76米[5]。水库建设时，博雅地名网载两万余九都人民迁往长泰、同安等地，另有六千多人就地迁到高处，重新组成九都公社[3]。2001年4月，林坑村由向阳乡划归九都镇管辖[3]。

地理环境[edit]

镇域多山，四季分明，气候属亚热带季风气候。冬季短，少有严寒；夏季较长，降雨集中[3][4]。镇区离省道305线约10千米，距南安市区约38千米[2][3]。

全镇水域面积约23平方千米，其中山美水库占大部分，山地与林地面积广，森林覆盖率据南安市人民政府网站为74.3%，博雅地名网则作70%，此条目取政府网站的数字[1][3]。九都是国家级生态乡镇，并为省级环境优美乡镇[1]。2012年12月，本镇获环境保护部授予「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号[2]。

经济[edit]

鞋业是镇内的支柱产业，镇内建成彭林、新东两个工业区[3]。

农业以水稻、甘薯和花生为主，水果以柑桔、龙眼、橄榄为主，库区各村因地形不同，分别形成果园与养殖基地，养殖有肉鸽和牛蛙[3]。

名胜古迹[edit]

山美水库是镇内最突出的水利工程，蓄水之后形成大面积库区，库区周边的村庄也由此经历了搬迁与重建[3][5]。

新东保泰山庄是近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑，列入南安市第四次全国文物普查新发现的不可移动文物名录，地址在九都镇新东村[6]。

文化[edit]

2021年2月，九都镇上榜「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单[2]。镇内设有中学、小学和幼儿园，并建有自来水厂与变电站，各村的祠堂与宫庙分别见于各村条目[3]。

百度百科载，截至2022年8月，全镇总人口为1.89万余人[4]。博雅地名网另载约1.16万人与1.6万人，两者均未注明统计年份，此处不取[2][3]。
