宫占村位于码头镇西北部，俗称宫占。村名原为「宫簪」，取两个旧村各一字合称，后谐音改称宫占。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地分属两个保。公社化后于1958年设宫占公社，1964年转为宫占大队；1983年，此地改称码头镇宫占村，同时设立村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村委会设在宫下，诗溪自西向东流过，北依五台山林场。[1]

景点与设施[edit]

村内有沃头宫、秋竹宫和下埔宫等景点。村里有水电站、自来水厂、小学、幼儿园和卫生所，并有桥梁。[1][2]

侨乡[edit]

宫占村是南安的侨村，海内外乡贤多年来为家乡的公益事业出资，修桥、拓路、建小学、创办自来水厂，村容村貌随之改变。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，宫占村被确定为「泉州市2019-2021年度市级“一村一品”专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业为荔枝。2023年12月，宫占村被认定为「2023年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」，产品为荔枝。[1]
