东大村位于码头镇西北部，村委会所在的聚落在石牛山南麓。村名取自两个旧村名各一字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地隶属一个保，中华人民共和国成立初期属一个乡。公社化之后，1958年另设东大大队；1984年，此地改称码头镇东大村，并新设村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村委会所在的聚落位于石牛山南麓，东临诗溪支流，地势多山且起伏较大。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2025年1月，东大村被列入南安市2024年度「和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
