杏东村位于码头镇西北部。早年此地盛产杏子，村民住在大山东侧，村名因此定为杏东。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地分属两个保，新中国成立初期归杏东乡。1958年公社化后，这里划归两个大队，1965年才合成杏东大队；1984年起叫码头镇杏东村，村委会随后组建。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村委会设在诗芸公路沿线，聚落分布在高盖山下，北临诗溪支流。330县道穿过全村。村内的山林以马尾松为多，林果有柑橘和龙眼。[1][2]

教育[edit]

本村与附近三村合办南安市第二实验小学，本村内设卫生所与幼儿园。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

「2023年福建省卫生村」的称号于2024年1月授予杏东村。[1]
