美岭村位于码头镇政府驻地西侧，村名原作「尾岭」，因村境内有小山、地处刘氏村落末端，后改雅称「美岭」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国年间此地是美岭保的辖区；解放以后，这里归码头镇下的美岭村。公社化那年（1958年）划归一个大队，1960年拆队后另立美岭大队，1984年才设美岭村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村委会设在美岭，聚落分布在四方寨东部的丘陵谷地上，呈三角形。[1]
