金中村位于码头镇东南部。村名有两种说法：一说群山之间的阳光下村子呈金黄色，一说因地势居中。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1976年，此地从原来的队中分出，独立成一个单位；1984年起，才有了码头镇金中村的名称和村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村委会驻宫美。居民点散布在大湖山北面的山麓，靠近诗溪西岸的丘陵谷地，辖内共10个自然村。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地以水稻、小麦和甘薯为主，土特产有柑桔和茶叶。村里以菌类作物为一村一品的产业，多项农产品入选「泉州好货名录」。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2023年1月，金中村上榜南安市2022年度「和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
