诗南村位于码头镇东南部，在码头镇政府驻地东南约6.5公里处，因地处诗溪南侧而得名。[1]
名称[edit]
历来有文人到此游览吟咏，村因位于诗溪之南而取名诗南。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前，此地归码头镇管辖；1949年解放后先设为诗南乡，人民公社时期又改成诗南大队，直到1984年才设立诗南村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村委会设在龙虾，聚落分布在诗溪两岸，下辖6个自然村。[1]
经济[edit]
改革开放后，村里的经济由以农业为主转向以工业为主。山美水库发电站建成后，村里有了电力方面的优势。此前村里办起了轴承厂、塑料厂和水泥制品厂，后来又有食用金针菇场和纸厂。[1]
农田以水稻、甘薯和花生为主，果林以龙眼为多。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，诗南村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
2020年12月，诗南村入选「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」名单，产业为食用菌。2021年12月，诗南村被确定为「泉州市2019-2021年度市级“一村一品”专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业为食用菌。[1][3]
华侨捐资推动诗南村等5个村先后成立了慈善基金会。[4]
